April 15th Work Day

On April 15th, Louisiana Tech students and community members will gather together to set up the Lives Lost to Alcohol display at the site. The site is located west of Temple Baptist Church, along the service road next to I-20. The day will begin at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers are needed! If interested, email Addie Smith at asmith@latech.edu
Louisiana Tech University Choices, the North Central Alliance Partners in Prevention Community Coalition, the Louisiana Highway Safety Comission, and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office have teamed up to create an important display in our community. The Lives Lost to Alcohol Display reflects the number of alcohol crash related deaths that have occurred in Lincoln Parish from 1997-2007. To date, that includes 29 deaths. Each silhouette represents one life lost. The display is lit at night for passersby to reflect on the choices we each make and how those choices can impact others.
